Some drivers aren’t aware of the variety of warranties that you get with your new Chevy. Chevy is a household name for quality, reliability, and excellent service. These qualities are all reflected in the automatic protection you receive when you get behind the wheel of your new car. As your Chevy dealer, we want to tell you about what’s covered by your car warranty.

Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty

This warranty covers almost every system and component in your vehicle. If you have an issue due to an error in manufacturing or workmanship, a dealer will provide any needed repairs or replacements for free. Your Chevy’s tires are also protected under this warranty, and free towing to a dealership is available if necessary.

This warranty doesn’t cover certain items, including parts that need replacement according to normal maintenance or parts damaged due to lack of maintenance, accidental damage, or misuse.

Powertrain Limited Warranty

This warranty covers all the vital components in your engine, transmission, and drivetrain. Protected components include the intake manifold, the oil pump, seals, engine and transmission mounts, universal joints, and the bearings. The warranty applies for the first five years/60,000 miles.

Some components are not included in this warranty, like the coolant, hoses, and sensors.

Emissions Control Systems Warranty

Your Chevy’s emissions control system is responsible for converting toxic chemicals into harmless chemicals and water. Some parts of the emissions system are covered for two years/24,000 miles. Other components, like the catalytic converter and engine control module, are protected for eight years/80,000 miles.

Rust-Through Protection Warranty

Rust-through is rust that eats completely through the body or sheet metal. Once rust starts, it’s impossible to permanently remove and the affected parts must be replaced. This warranty protects you against this issue and is applicable for six years/100,000 miles.

Corrosion

Corrosion can potentially affect metal and non-metal components and produce damage similar to rust. This warranty protects against this issue for the first three years/36,000 miles.

Additional Services

Your new Chevy also comes with complimentary services for the duration of your warranty. Let’s take a look at them in more detail.

Roadside Assistance

Situations can occasionally happen when you’re driving, ranging from a flat tire to a dead battery. If any of these things happen, it’s good to know that Chevy has your back. Roadside assistance is available 24/7/365 to help with any of these issues. They can also provide lockout assistance or give you a tow to the nearest dealer.

Courtesy Transportation
