Something is calming about digging into a greasy, well-made burger. Whether you like to enjoy your burger with classic toppings like cheese, lettuce, and tomato or prefer something unique, there’s a restaurant in town for you. Finding the perfect burger joint can be tedious, so we’ve put together a list of where you can find the best burgers in Fort Smith.

Patrick’s Butcher Boy Burgers

This joint got its name from the owner’s grandfather, Patrick, who used to be a butcher. Patrick’s started as a burger truck and has since expanded into a brick-and-mortar restaurant. They only use Grade-A chuck beef here that is never frozen. When you order your burger, you can choose from their classic toppings such as ketchup, lettuce, and tomato, but you have to give Patrick’s sauce a try. Don’t forget to get their perfectly cut fresh fries.

Ed Walker’s Drive-In

For the closest thing to time travel as you’ll get, head over to Ed Walker’s. This joint has been a staple in the community since 1943, and when you dine here, you’ll feel like you’re back in the 1950s. The burgers they make here are similar to how you would make them at home, by hand. Each patty is formed by hand and cooked perfectly. They offer regular hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and bacon cheeseburgers in either 1/3 pound patties or 1/2.

Bricktown Brewery

Finding the perfect cold beer to pair with your burger after a long day doesn’t need to be daunting. At Bricktown Brewery, you’ll find delicious burgers and fantastic beer to go along with it. You have ten burger options that range from classics to specialty. You can’t go wrong with their classic bacon cheeseburger or their drunken onion burger. If you’re going to drink, alcohol is intended only for those 21 years and older. Please drink responsibly.

Art’s BBQ and Burgers

Just because this is a barbecue joint doesn’t mean they don’t serve a tasty burger. At Art’s, you’ll find some of the best barbecue burgers in the city. Three of their most popular burger recipes are the green chili burger, hickory burger, and the razorback burger. The green chili comes with smoked poblano peppers and pepper jack cheese. The hickory is your traditional burger but with barbecue sauce, and the razorback is ground pork with bacon and bleu cheese.

Calico County

What better place to grab a burger than an all-American diner-style restaurant? The restaurant is decked out in old-school American decor that will never go out of style. You’ll find classic American dishes like fried chicken and, of course, burgers. All six of their burgers are made with an 8-ounce patty and come with fries or a different side. Their chili cheeseburger is a fan favorite that consists of a classic cheeseburger topped with homemade chili.
