Oil Change Service

Why are Oil Changes are Important?

Oil changes are an incredibly important part of routine maintenance. If you want to keep your vehicle running smoothly, then that means keeping your oil performing at its peak. Over time, your motor oil breaks down, making it harder for the oil to serve its purpose of transferring heat and decreasing wear on moving parts. Operating your vehicle with bad oil can significantly decrease the overall lifespan of your vehicle’s engine. When it’s time for your next oil change, let our Chevrolet Certified Experts take care of you. Our service team will be able to get the exact oil your engine needs, keeping your vehicle on the road for years to come.

When Should You Get An Oil Change?

Previously, technicians recommended getting an oil change once every 3,000 miles but with modern Engine Oil Life Systems, that number is now obsolete and you can now go much further between oil changes. We still recommend getting one every 5,000 miles but you should always consulting your owner's manual or one of our service technicians on all recommended service intervals.

If you suspect there is a problem with your engine oil, you should schedule service IMMEDIATELY. Some signs are more obvious than others, such as seeing a "Change Engine Oil Soon" notification on your dash. If this is the case, you may need more immediate service and should change your oil within the next 600 miles. Other signs include Low Oil Pressure which can cause extreme damage to your engine. If you get an Engine Low Oil notification on your dashboard, DO NOT START YOUR ENGINE OR DRIVE. Immediately contact our Service Department or your nearest Chevy Service Center. More immediate signs, are oil leaks. If you discover an oil leak with your vehicle, you should seek service immediately.
