The all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox arrives with four generations of know-how behind it. It brings a handsomely aggressive look, updated infotainment, fresh transmissions, and more. Here’s how Chevy distributes the upgrades across each trim level.

LT
If the LT’s Traverse-like face suggests it can handle family-ferrying duty, the inside seals the deal. The driver gets a heated seat, a heated steering wheel, dual 11-inch screens with one angled for easy reach, and loads of assist tech, including adaptive cruise with lane centering. Up front, the passenger gets heated seating, too. In the back, there’s enough room to seat taller adults: nearly 40 inches of headroom, 56 inches of shoulder room, and 52 inches of headroom.
Power comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, good for 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with either a CVT and front-wheel drive for fuel efficiency (26 mpg city and 28 mpg highway) or an eight-speed automatic and AWD for weather and wobbly back roads. The latter setup is pretty efficient as well. It achieves 24 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
ACTIV
New to the 2025 Equinox, this trim makes its light off-Roading intentions obvious with a rugged front fascia, 17-inch Dark Android machine-face aluminum wheels, and all-terrain tires. But the toughness stops at the door.
Inside, it’s all comfort. Sueded microfiber seats, wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay, an eight-way power driver seat, wireless charging, and a dedicated sunglass holder all come standard. Dual-zone climate uses a humidity sensor to adjust airflow in real time, keeping conditions just right for you and your passengers. A kick-activated liftgate wraps it up with a final nod to daily convenience.
RS
The RS turns the heat up on two fronts: looks and interior amenities. Style-wise, it goes full sporty: a gloss-black grille, 19-inch Carbon Flash Metallic machine-face aluminum wheels, and 19-inch all-season wheels. It’s all the first in the lineup to let you go up to 20s, giving this crossover some serious curb appeal.
Interior highlights include a wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, leatherette seats, and Active Noise Cancellation, which uses the audio system to counter road noise for a quieter ride. You can tack on extras like front seat ventilation, heated rear side seats, driver’s seat memory, and a rear vision camera that displays a live feed in place of the mirror. AWD variants of this trim get a Driver Mode Selector with settings for Normal, Snow, Off-Road, and AWD.
