The 2025 Chevy Suburban is a versatile SUV built for family road trips and everyday errands. Check out seven of the new Chevrolet Suburban’s most interesting features here.

1. Tri-Zone Automatic Climate Control
If your family has ever argued over who controls the air conditioning on a trip, you’ll love the new Chevy Suburban’s tri-zone automatic climate control. This gives you three separate climate regions inside your cabin, each with its own temperature settings. This includes a region for the driver, front passenger, and rear passengers.
2. LCD Display with Google Built-In Compatibility
There’s no shortage of entertainment options in the 2025 Suburban thanks to the 17.7-inch LCD color touchscreen. You can use this touchscreen to access Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, SiriusXM satellite radio, or Google built-in. Google built-in is a helpful system that comes with Google Play, Assistant, Gmail, and Maps, essentially turning your Suburban into a mobile assistant.
3. OnStar Basics
The new Suburban comes equipped with OnStar Basics to increase your safety behind the wheel. OnStar Basics includes Automatic Crash Response, remote commands, built-in voice assistance, and live traffic and navigation. The Automatic Crash Response feature detects when your Suburban is in an accident and connects you with an OnStar emergency advisor to assess the situation.
4. 5.3L V8 Engine
The standard engine on the Chevrolet Suburban is a 5.3L V8 gas engine that’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. With this combination, your SUV achieves an impressive 355 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 383 lb.-ft. of torque at 4100 rpm.
5. 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel Engine
For increased power and stamina, the Suburban has an available 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. When you upgrade to this engine, you can reach a whopping 305 horsepower at 3750 rpm and 495 lb.-ft. of torque at 2750 rpm.
6. Programmable Power Liftgate
The LT and all higher Suburban trims come with a power-programmable liftgate that you can program to open to a specific height with the memory height function. This liftgate opens in three different ways: by pressing a button on your key fob, an overhead button in your cabin, or by pushing the textured pad on the bottom of the liftgate.
7. Power Sliding Center Console
One of the most convenient features of the new Chevy Suburban is the power sliding center console that comes standard on the Premier and High Country trims. Using an overhead switch, you can slide this center console back and forth 10 inches within the cabin. This helps expand your cargo versatility, allowing you to place items between the two front seats when needed.
