However, having said that, there is always something eye-catching here, and we've enjoyed stunning meals every time we come, including seasonal Pumpkin Curry and Drunken Udon Noodles. 4. Thai Curry This restaurant has two outlets in the area, with the original here in Fort Smith and a second nearby in Van Buren. We especially enjoy the range of soups with the Tom Yum with shrimp being a particular favorite. Once again, we're spoilt for choice but often end up taking the Panang Pork Curry and accompany it with a Phad Thai. They offer a good selection of lunch specials here, so if you're looking for a smaller mid-day meal, this could be a great choice. 5. Alina's Thai Last but by no means least, we have another great restaurant, this time over in Roland. When we visit here, we often end up going back to basics with our menu choice. Hardscrabble Country Club This course dates back to 1926 and is named after the Hardscrabble farm that used to occupy the land. It was designed by the famous architect, Perry Maxwell. Hardscrabble is a private course consisting of 18-holes that stretches an impressive 6,619 yards. Bermuda grass covers the sloping landscape of this world-class fairway. Many famous men and women have played at Hardscrabble over the years. It is well-known for being the official site of the LPGA Tour in 1948. Women who attended this tournament went on to be some of the best female players of the time. As the host of more than a dozen PGA Tour events, Hardscrabble is a renowned course throughout Arkansas. 3. Deer Trails Course Deer Trails is a municipal fairway that is open every day of the week during the season. It is set on Bermuda grass near Chaffee Crossing in Fort Smith.
