After that, it's always a hard choice, but the Beef Massaman Curry is always superb, and if we're in a group, we'll usually take one of the delicious salads to share. 2. Pad Thai Next, we have another excellent choice that never disappoints and is known for serving up great value food in large portions. All the dishes can be cooked to your desired spice level, and we recommend caution as when they say “hot” here, they mean it. There are several dishes that are delicious but low in calories if you're watching your waist. Shrimp with Broccoli, for example, is wonderfully tasty, so you don't have to miss out. Phad Basil is somewhat of a house specialty, and we enjoy it with the recommended seafood selection and a dangerous Thai spice level of five. 3. Thai Chicken Bowl This is a small family-run restaurant that is full of character, and we especially love the handwritten menu boards that detail the dishes of the day. It's worth knowing that they specialize in offering several vegetarian and gluten-free meals. If the Orange Ginger Salmon is on offer when you visit, then this is considered a must-try. However, having said that, there is always something eye-catching here, and we've enjoyed stunning meals every time we come, including seasonal Pumpkin Curry and Drunken Udon Noodles. 4. Thai Curry This restaurant has two outlets in the area, with the original here in Fort Smith and a second nearby in Van Buren. We especially enjoy the range of soups with the Tom Yum with shrimp being a particular favorite. Once again, we're spoilt for choice but often end up taking the Panang Pork Curry and accompany it with a Phad Thai. They offer a good selection of lunch specials here, so if you're looking for a smaller mid-day meal, this could be a great choice. 5. Alina's Thai Last but by no means least, we have another great restaurant, this time over in Roland. When we visit here, we often end up going back to basics with our menu choice. The green chicken curry is everything that you could want it to be, a true classic. You can specify spice level, but we like to leave it to the chef to deliver it how it should come.
