3 Impressive Features of the 2021 Chevy Trax

If you're looking for a smaller alternative to bulky, hard-to-control SUVs, the 2021 Chevy Trax is a great option. It has all the functionality of a regular SUV but offers smoother handling, more maneuverability, and greater comfort. This car also has a number of extra features that make it a great ride—read on to learn what makes it stand out. more 1. WiFi Hotspot Option Only some of the best vehicles in the market come with this feature. With a WiFi hotspot in your Chevy Trax, you'll be able to access the internet from your car, anytime, anywhere. The hotspot in the Chevy Trax can support up to seven devices at a time, meaning the whole family will be able to use their devices as they please. WiFi hotspots come in useful during long trips and are a great way to keep passengers entertained during a ride. It is important to note that this service is only available through a paid subscription, but the entertainment, reassurance, and usefulness that come with a constant internet connection make this a feature you'll definitely want in your car. 2. Many Cargo Options The Chevy Trax is smaller than an SUV. However, it is still able to hold tons of gear by allowing you to fill your whole vehicle with cargo instead of just the designated cargo space. The rear seat of the Trax can be folded down to expand the back cargo area, and if you're still in need of more space, you can fold down the front passenger seat as well. This offers a highly versatile cargo system that will be able to make room for anything from groceries to luggage. 3. Comfortable for Adult Passengers Smaller SUVs often sacrifice comfort in exchange for maneuverability by shortening the back of the car. This leads to a cramped back row that only children will be able to fit in comfortably. However, this problem isn't present in the Chevy Trax. The back row is roomy for children and adults alike and even has enough room to allow people to stretch their legs comfortably. Sore legs won't be a problem in this car! Overall, the Trax has a cabin built with comfort and functionality in mind. One of the seating upgrades available when purchasing this car is leather upholstery, which is a great option for warmer climates because of how breathable it is. For those who live in colder climates, upgrading your car to include heated front seats will provide a comfortable ride no matter the temperature. The Chevy Trax is a great car that is sure to bring comfort and reliability to your journeys, whether they are short commutes or long road trips. Don't just take our word for it— visit us at Orr Chevrolet to experience it for yourself. Get behind the wheel, take it out for a test drive, and then we can talk about making you the owner of one of these fantastic cars.

There are numerous trails to choose from, whether you prefer the adrenaline rush of mountain biking trails or a serine cycle through fantastic scenery. more 1. Ben Geren Bike Trails Beginning at the shorter Zero Street trail close to Massard Creek, this easy paved trail extends south along the creek for about 7.5 miles, connecting to other trails along the way. The trail is fully paved and is built specifically for biking, with two lanes, and is well kept and maintained along its length. The paved trail eventually terminates near the south end of Massard Road, but there are also several miles of unpaved trails through the park that extends for over 10 miles of singletrack. 2. Springhill Park Located approximately southeast of downtown Fort Smith, Springhill Park includes an easy, flat trail that extends for about 17 miles through the park's beautiful woodlands. The trail is particularly good for beginners, as it doesn't have many difficult sections, and is mostly flat along its length, with some sharp corners to watch out for. More experienced riders will particularly enjoy the fast pedaling sections. 3. Lee Creek Reservoir A tricky trail meant for intermediate riders, formed of two loops of singletrack trail, separated by Leek Creek. Be careful, as this trail is also popular with non-cyclists, so watch out for the occasional hiker. The eastern loop is usually tackled first and winds its way up past some picturesque sandstone bluffs. The second, western loop starts with a steep climb up to a cemetery at the top, with great views and a flowing trail on the way down. Please be respectful and don't disturb the stones. 4. Fianna Hills As the name suggests, this trail to the south of the city is dominated by rolling hills, with lots of ups and downs. The trailhead can be hard to find, but it is located off Fianna Way at the very southern tip of Fort Smith. The trail is a very exciting and challenging route, with lots of mud holes and rocky sections to tackle. The trail branches off through numerous side trails, enough to keep you busy for hours at a time. 5. Devils Den State Park Nestled in Lee Creek Valley to the north of Fort Smith, this iconic state park also features some great bike trails. The best place to start is Fossil Flats, a 5.6-mile loop that follows Lee Creek before crossing it close to the old forest road, before climbing steeply up Racer Hill and looping back to the trailhead through the campsite area. These are just some of the great trails in the area to explore, so grab your bike and head out there. Thinking of purchasing a new car to take you and your bike on your next adventure? Does Your Chevy Need a Radiator Repair? Visit Your Fort Smith Chevy Dealer

Chevy owners in Fort Smith are already making plans to go out and about this upcoming summer. But when auto radiators fail during hot summer day trips, engines fail, and then, no one's going anywhere. With Summer coming, let's review signs that tell you you'll need a radiator repair at your Chevy dealer. more 1. Check Coolant Light Illuminates on Your Dashboard If your vehicle's low coolant light comes on, that is one of the first signs of a problem. Refilling the radiator will temporarily solve the problem, but it will not address the cause. That is because radiators don't lose coolant unless there's a problem. If yours keeps running low, you have a leak somewhere. 2. Engine Overheating When your radiator lacks enough coolant to keep your engine warm, your engine will overheat. Your temperature gauge on your dashboard will move over to the hot side of the display. When that happens, you need to pull over quickly and shut your engine off, or your engine could crack. A properly working radiator with sufficient coolant will not allow your engine to overheat. Your safest option is to have a tow truck haul your vehicle to a service station for repairs. 3. Coolant on the Ground If you have an external coolant leak, it will end up on the surface beneath your vehicle. It will match the color of the coolant you already have in your Chevy. Whatever the fluid's color, you'll need to get something on your vehicle repaired right away if it's on the ground. An external leak doesn't necessarily have to come from your radiator. Leaks can come from any area of your cooling system, including your hoses or the thermostat. Your mechanic will do a complete evaluation of your cooling system to determine the leak's origin. 4. Discolored Radiator Fluid While your engine is cold, open your radiator cap and inspect the color. It should look like a clean green, yellow, pink, or red. However, if it appears brown like motor oil or sludge, your radiator has been contaminated and needs to be flushed out. Then you'll need to identify the source of the contamination. If the contamination originated from inside your engine, you would undoubtedly have costly repairs ahead of you. 5. White Smoke Comes Out Your Exhaust Pipe If you see white smoke coming out of your exhaust pipe, it means coolant is burning off in your exhaust system. That is not okay because coolant shouldn't be in your exhaust system. It is a sign of a potentially much larger problem. Coolant in your exhaust system means you have an internal leak. The cause of that leak could be as simple as a broken gasket, or worse, a cracked block. And you don't want antifreeze inside your engine because it will damage it. Don't delay; address this issue as soon as possible. Visit us at Orr Chevrolet of Fort Smith to have your Chevy checked and repaired by the best.

4 Standout Features of the 2021 Chevy Suburban

The 2021 Chevy Suburban was designed to be ahead of the competition. There are so many high-quality SUVs on the market, but Chevy wanted the latest Suburban to be the highest quality. Chevy seems to be succeeding, as the Suburban leaves nothing to be desired. Its performance, comfort, and luxurious features come together to make an SUV that anyone can fall in love with. more 1. It's Incredibly Powerful All of the engines available for the Chevy Suburban are incredibly powerful. There are two V8 gasoline options available, and the diesel option is a tough six-cylinder engine. The rear-wheel-drive and AWD capabilities of the SUV add some extra power. This combination of tough engines and capable drive options makes a vehicle that can tackle almost anything. It's great for towing, traveling with packed cargo space, and dealing with tricky roads. 2. Top Towing Abilities The Chevy Suburban is the most capable SUV we've ever seen as far as towing is concerned. The average mid-size pickup truck can haul around 7,500 pounds, with very few making it past the 8,000-pound mark. Meanwhile, the average full-size SUV can tow a decent 4,500 pounds, and some of the more impressive SUVs can handle around 6,500 pounds. The Chevy Suburban beats large SUVs and mid-size pickup trucks. It can tow a comfortable 7,500 pounds, but if equipped with some additional towing technology, it can handle 8,300 pounds. This is exceptionally rare for an SUV, and it deserves a round of applause. 3. Huge Cargo Area SUVs are known for their spacious cargo areas, and the Chevy Suburban has one of the most spacious cargo holds on the market. The recent redesign made sure that the Suburban now has more cargo space than ever. It can hold a huge 145 cubic feet of gear. The rear suspension was tailored specifically to accommodate this huge amount of space. You can be sure that the Suburban can handle a full cargo area with no issues. 4. Exceptionally Stable You're guaranteed a stable ride no matter how full the Suburban gets. The steering is power-assisted, and that helps keep the vehicle's weight centered. You'll feel no wobbling or vibrating in the Suburban, even if you're traveling at high speeds. The centered weight and enhanced stability is particularly noticeable when you're changing lanes on the highway. You'll never feel the vehicle lean, and you won't feel yourself falling to one side while you're in the vehicle, either. Both you and the Suburban stay stable and grounded at all times. If you're interested in the Chevy Suburban, then visit us at Orr Chevrolet of Fort Smith. We'll make sure that you get to check out this vehicle in person. Take a look at its features, then take it out for a test drive. If you feel like this is your perfect match, that's fantastic. We're happy to help you acquire a Suburban of your own!

How_Often_Should_You_Get_Your_Chevy_Oil_Change_637574364922567623

How Often Should You Get Your Chevy Oil Change?

At Orr Chevrolet of Fort Smith, we know firsthand how important a well-timed Chevy oil change is for maintaining engine health and ultimately extending the life of your car. The standard recommendation for many cars is an oil change every 3,000 to 6,500 miles. Most newer cars are engineered to go a bit longer than this, however. Here are some things to think about when considering the timing of your next oil change: more How You Drive First off, you should be aware of the manufacturer's guidelines for oil changes for your specific make and model. When you look this up in your car's manual, you will probably notice that Chevrolet recommends more frequent oil changes for cars that drive under certain "extreme" conditions. Some of these extreme conditions include recurrent long-distance commutes or travel and rare use of the car (fewer than 10 driving miles a week). If you drive a lot on wet or salty roads, this could also be considered an extreme condition. Furthermore, if you live in a place with either harsh winters or harsh summers, it can affect the quality of your car's oil as well as its levels. Chevy Oil Change Warning Signs When your car is in need of an oil change, it may tell you with some common signs. If you've gone 5,000 or more miles since your last oil change, pop the hood and look at the color of your car's oil. In most cases, if it's dark brown or black, you're overdue for an oil change. If it's light amber in color, it's probably not time to get one yet. If you smell burnt oil while driving, pull over to your nearest Chevrolet service center ASAP. This could either mean you are long overdue for an oil change or that there's a leak in your engine (a much more serious problem). Oh, and if your car has an oil life indicator light, and it has switched on, this is a pretty obvious sign it is probably time for an oil change. The Type of Oil Your Car Uses If your Chevy requires the use of full-synthetic motor oil, you might be able to go up to 15,000 miles between oil changes. This, of course, is not the case for most motor oil options. Be sure to check your car's owner manual to see what kind of oil it recommends for your make and model.
